Hellys 2019 delivered 6 whole days of music, workshops, laughter, and meeting new people from around the world. My role was upgraded from the first two years being photographer and social media communicator to include graphic design too. Festival director Ben Salfield likes to call me his second in command; his lieutenant; his guru... but I just enjoy the buzz and keeping everyone calm during the festivities.
This year we welcomed acts from Denmark, Greece, Sardinia, Poland, Hungary, Italy, and some musicians closer to home. Other events included a music competition to win a Kif Wood guitar, talks by authors, performance poetry, creative workshops, and reflexation therapy by Dr. Chloë Cyrus-Kent.
There are some exciting ideas flying about for next year's Hellys... I'm looking forward to being part of the next one!
